Cañada College's Educational Master Plan (EMP) is its five-year strategic plan in which the College's mission, vision and values are articulated as are clear goals and strategies for achieving the College's mission and vision while operating in a manner consistent with our values. The purpose of the EMP is to offer the essential data and foundation upon which students' instructional program and support service needs can be addressed and met in the future. It will also assist in the creation or update of other important College plans. These include plans for technology, facilities (capital expenditures), personnel, finance, budget, and others. The Plan is intended to be a flexible document, to be reviewed annually (at the College's Leadership Retreat) as the economy fluctuates, students' needs change, and new educational trends develop. Cañada College recognizes that institutional change takes time. By articulating a five-year strategy for continuous improvement, the College hopes to make meaningful change that improves the lives of all of its diverse current, past, and potential students.
