 Asian LGBTQ+ Resources

  • API Family Prideis a supportive environment for families of Asian/Pacific bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender people, dedicated to ending the isolation of API families 
  • Gay Asian Pacific Alliance is an organization dedicated to furthering the interests of gay & bisexual Asian/Pacific Islanders by creating awareness, by developing a positive collective identity and by establishing a supportive community
  • Trikone is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people of South Asian descent, founded in 1986 in the San Francisco Bay Area
  • South Bay Queer and Asian (SBQA) is a support and social group that provides gay, bisexual, and lesbian Asians and Pacific Islanders in the South Bay with a safe place to “come out of the closet” and be comfortable with their sexual identity and race
  • The Network on Religion and Justice for Asian and Pacific Islander, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer People (NRJ) is a network of API-LGBTQ organizations and individuals, their faith communitites, family and friends working to nurture and support efforts toward a fully LGBTQ inclusive Asian Pacific Islander faith community.

  • Black Brothers Esteem is a program empowering gay, bisexual, and same-gender loving African American men who are at risk of HIV.
  • DREAAM Project is a drop in social & health events for gay, bisexual & queer African American and Black men age 30 and under. 
  • Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project (QWOCMAP) uses film to shatter stereotypes and bias, reveal the lived truth of inequality, and build community around art and activism.

  • Aguilas is dedicated to creating a supportive, culturally sensitive environment for gay/bisexual Latinos
  • Samos Familias was created to support and acceptance for Latina(o) lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning youth and their families

  • San Mateo County LGBTQ Commission California's first county or city commission focused on the needs to the LGBTQ community
  • San Francisco Pride is dedicated to education, to the commemoration of LGBT heritage and to the celebration of LGBT culture and liberation

  • The Trevor Project A national 24-hour, toll free confidential suicide hotline for LGBTQ youth
